Responsibilities include providing clinical nursing care for a busy specialty practice, collecting patient medical history, preparing patients for exams, assisting providers with procedures, administering immunizations/injections, phlebotomy, and other nursing duties as needed/directed. Previous physician office experience preferred. Medical Manager experience preferred. High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program or Certified Medical Assistant program. LPN currently licensed in the state of NC or CMA certification from AAMA or AMT required. CPR certification. Must possess excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills and willingness to accept challenges and be self-motivated. Must have excellent telephone skills and communication skills. Must be able to pay attention to detail and be able to listen and take accurate clinical notes. Must have the ability to function and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Light Work - Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, including the human body, weighing 11-20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, and/or a negligible amount of weight constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time). CMA or Medical Office Assistant Floater position responsible for working directly with provider; performing patient assessments, obtaining vitals, assisting with exams and procedures, phlebotomy, and general duties related to patient care.  Duties/responsibilities may also include check-in, check-out, answering phones and helping as needed in Medical Records. This 4-physician and one nurse practitioner practice is looking for a full-time endocrinologist to meet growing demand. The position is 100% Endocrinology with no ER call and no internal medicine call. Inpatient consults are light and are rotated a week at a time.
